Linnell, Choate, & Webber, LLP attorneys Jeffrey A. Schwartz, Esq. and Haley K. Hunter, Esq. recently obtained a Judgment in the Maine Business and Consumer Court for Plaintiff in the matter of Justin R. Woodbury v. Harold Erickson d/b/a Crew 33. Plaintiff and Defendant entered into a construction contract. Defendant’s actions and omissions resulted in Plaintiff filing a Complaint in Androscoggin County Superior Court.  The thirteen-count Complaint included causes of action for violations of Maine’s Home Construction Contract Act, Maine’s Unfair Trade Practices Act, and Maine’s Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The matter was transferred to the Maine Business and Consumer Court which awarded Plaintiff actual damages, punitive damages, reasonable attorneys’ fees, and costs.
